Brushed
A brushed surface is created by passing the boards through a wire brushing machine. A steel or copper wire drum-brush removes the softer particles of the grain, exposing the harder grain and creating a pronounced surface texture.
This treatment accentuates the grain pattern and will show up even stronger if used in combination with a coloured finish. Brushing is very effective on European Oak but will not enhance certain other wood types such as Pine, Beech or Maple.
