A variant of the Herringbone pattern is the Chevron pattern. In this floor the edges of the blocks are cut to a 45- or 60-degree angle, creating a pattern of straight lines in the floor. Although the same principle as a Herringbone floor, the use of the cut angles creates a calmer look.

The use of both Herringbone and Chevron patterns dates back centuries and creates a luxurious looking floor.
